In January 2007, FT Consulting Pte., Ltd. sought assistance from Inventis Patent Attorneys after receiving a Refusal Notice regarding its trademark application for “FT Consulting + Device” from the Indonesian Intellectual Property Office (DGIP). Unfortunately, the deadline to respond had passed.
Challenge: Having operated in Indonesia for several years, FT Consulting Pte., Ltd.'s primary challenge was to pursue its trademark registration for “FT Consulting + Device.” However, with the response window to the refusal notice closed, Inventis Patent Attorneys analyzed the situation and recommend filing a new application.
Solution: Following this advice, FT Consulting Pte., Ltd. engaged Inventis Patent Attorneys to submit a new application for the trademark “FT Consulting + Device” with the DGIP. Prior to this recommendation, Inventis conducted a preliminary search and analysis, determining that the trademark was still available for registration.
